Our Fleet of Expedition Ships & Tenders

Our fleet of three expedition ships are Australian-flagged and crewed. With only 120 guests, there are no queues, long waits, or assigned meal slots. Instead, enjoy a relaxed, convivial atmosphere shared with like-minded explorers. The shallow draft and high manoeuvrability of our ships gets us closer to explore the sheltered bays, hidden inlets and fishing villages inaccessible to larger ships. All our ships feature our trademark Xplorer tenders, our open-sided safari boats that make excursions pleasant and safe.

Expedition Dispatch

Lacepedes Islands

Lacepedes Islands

25 June 2023

“Today we spotted a range of interesting bird species as we cruised to Lacepede Islands. We spent the day birdwatching and spotted an abundance of turtles poking their heads out of the water to say hello. This birdwatching paradise made for a relaxing day where we learned all about the numerous species of birds that call the Island home. We ended the day with refreshing drinks on the deck and a Kimberley Quiz.”

King George Falls

22 June 2023

“Today was filled with excitement as we explored King George River. First, we cruised down the river on a mission to spot wildlife such as Ospreys and dugongs. Then it was time for a Kimberley shower. Our relaxing cruise down the river became an exhilarating experience as we split into groups and boarded the Zodiacs to get up close to the falls and feel the refreshing water, earning big smiles from everyone on board.”

Vansittart Bay

Careening Bay

18 June 2023

“Today we departed for Vansittart Bay and Careening Bay where we explored an old plane wreck that dates back to World War 2 and ancient indigenous rock art. We learned so much history, explored the beautiful location, and spotted various wildlife species. Our adventure ended with a relaxing wine tasting, delicious dinner, and the classic Australian film Red Dog. We all had an amazing time and can’t wait to see what adventure tomorrow holds.”

Prince Frederick Harbour

15 June 2023

“Today, we stopped at Prince Frederick Harbour, where we indulged in beach exploration and immersed ourselves in the small pocket of rainforest, truly making this location a paradise. We then traveled to Crystal Beach, where our excitement peaked as we eagerly spotted the crystal-lined rocks and delved into the fascinating geological processes that formed these natural wonders. To end our adventure, we were delighted by a sighting of snub fin dolphins joyfully playing.”

Raft Point

13 June 2023

“After an early morning at Raft Point spotting birdlife and watching wallabies bouncing over the rocks we headed towards Montgomery Reef. We boarded the Zodiacs to get a closer look and were surrounded by turtles poking their heads out of the water to greet us. It was the perfect afternoon that allowed us to take beautiful photographs with the cascading water off the reef.”
